Viewers can stream a documentary about civil rights icon John Lewis beginning Friday, with some of the proceeds benefiting downtown Tuscaloosa’s historic Bama Theatre.
In addition to “John Lewis: Good Trouble,” online viewers can also see “The Painter and the Thief,” which is available for viewing immediately. The cost is $12 for the John Lewis documentary and $3.99 for “The Painter and the Thief.”
To view trailers or for links to stream the movies, go to www.bamatheatre.org/streaming.php.
When a ticket is purchased for either film through the Bama Theatre’s website, 50% of the net proceeds will go directly to the theater, which is at 600 Greensboro Ave.
